Daitokuji Okusu Daitokuji's large soup

Prefecturally designated natural monument. Estimated age: 800 years

Its presence is overwhelming when you stand in front of it. With a trunk circumference of 12.60m, this giant tree is one of the largest in the prefecture and has been popularly known as the "Daitokuji Kusu" for a long time. The age of the tree is estimated to be around 1 years.

Perhaps because of this large Kusu tree, there is a large Kusunoki shrine within the grounds, and a Kusunoki Inari shrine next to the tree.
