Kannonji Temple

It was founded by Gyoki Bosatsu in 2 and is said to be the oldest temple around Nagasaki City.

It is written in the history of the temple that it was founded by Gyoki in 2, and the 709-faced, thousand-armed, thousand-eyed Kannon statue, said to have been created by Gyoki, has been designated as a national important cultural property.

There are also many cultural properties designated by the prefecture and town, and many people come to see them.

The front gate is made using the same technology as Megane Bridge in Nagasaki City.

Transportation access Take the bus (No. 35) from the bus stop in front of Nagasaki Station South Exit for about 43 minutes, change at Sakaekami (Sanwa Regional Center), take the bus bound for Kabashima for about 30 minutes, get off at the bus stop in front of Kannonji, and walk for 3 minutes. *Only the bus bound for Kabashima does not require a change of bus.
