Kiyomizudera Kiyomizu temple
The main hall is a nationally designated important cultural property with Obaku style mixed in.
Kiyomizu-dera Temple on Mount Nagasaki was founded in 9 by Keijun, a monk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple on Mount Otowa in Kyoto.
The current main hall was built in the 8th year of Kanbun (1668) by the Tang merchant He Gaozai, and has an architectural style unique to Nagasaki that incorporates the Chinese style (Obaku style) of the time into Japanese style.
In 57, its historical value was recognized and it was designated as a tangible cultural property of Nagasaki Prefecture, and in 22, it was restored to its appearance around 7 through major repairs in the Heisei era and designated as a national important cultural property. It was designated as a (building).
In addition, the Buddha ``Binzuru-sama'' is enshrined at the back of the outer ring of the main hall.
The right hand of Kiyomizu-dera's Binzuru-san is removable, and pregnant women who come to pray for a safe delivery rub their stomachs with that hand to pray for a safe delivery.
It is also called ``Natsubutsu-sama'' because it is said that if you stroke a sick place, you will be healed.
