Shimin no Mori Kyushuku Hakushisetsu (Kebin) Citizen's Forest Recreation Facility (Kevin)

Walk, watch, listen, learn, create, play and have fun in the forest!

Nagasaki Citizen's Forest is a forest park created to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the opening of Nagasaki Port.

It is a scenic spot where you can see the ridgeline of the Nagasaki Peninsula from Karahakkei to Mt. Hachiro, as well as Nagasaki Port, the city, the Mogi coastline, and in the distance Unzen and Amakusa across Tachibana Bay.

The vast forest park also has a forest experience center, exercise plaza, campsite, and wild bird forest and insect forest areas that the public can use for recreation and nature observation.

Cedar and cypress are planted in the citizen's forest, and you can even see giant cedars with trunks over 3m in circumference.

In the forest, you can observe a large number of wild birds such as thrushes, black-bellied jays, yellow-breasted flycatchers, and daurian redstarts.

In early summer, Himeshara blooms with neat flowers, and in early autumn, you can also see flowers of Tsurigane ginseng.

Why not spend some time with nature at the Citizen's Forest, a popular recreational area for local residents?
