Ioujima Ohashi Iojima Bridge

To the resort island, Iojima.

Iojima Ohashi Bridge opened in March 2011. Iojima, which was previously only accessible by boat, can now be reached by car, bringing the resort island much closer.

Iojima Ohashi Bridge is 876m long and connects Koyagi-cho, Nagasaki City, and Iojima.

Iojima is located 10km southwest of the sea from the center of Nagasaki City, and once prospered as a coal mining island.Currently, it continues to grow as a resort island, with Yasuragi Iojima, a resort facility equipped with natural hot springs, as its center.

The opening of the bridge will allow access regardless of the weather, and will shorten travel time to about 30 minutes from the city center.

Also, the Iojima Bridge seen with the sunset in the background is very beautiful.
