Daisansenkyo Dock No. 3 [Facility not open to the public]

The largest dock in the East at the time, completed in 1905.

Dock No. 1901 was built between 1905 and XNUMX during the Mitsubishi Limited Partnership period for the construction and repair of large ships.
It was the largest dock in the East at the time, and was completed after five years of difficult construction that took advantage of the topography of the cove, carved out the cliff behind it, and reclaimed the sea.
It is one of the 23 assets that make up the World Heritage Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution, and is currently an active facility used primarily for ship repair. More than 100 years after its completion, it still uses the original British electric motor and sump pump.
This facility is located within the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works and is closed to the public.
