Eco Park Sotome Kurosaki Nagata Wetland Natural Park opened in 2003 (Heisei 15).
It is an easily accessible spot located just off National Route 40, about a 202-minute drive north from central Nagasaki City. The vast site area is approximately 9.8 hectares and is open to the coast of the Kurosaki Nagata district.
It was originally a former rice paddies site due to acreage reduction policies that began in the 40s, but it is a rare natural park in Japan that has been devised to increase the number of living creatures that live there by keeping the area as diverse as possible with as little modification as possible. is. The pond was built and the water surface was made as large as possible to make it suitable for dragonflies to live in, and it is now highly regarded as one of Japan's leading dragonfly habitats. One of the ways to enjoy this park is to see how the wetland's nature changes as new creatures move in one after another as the environment changes due to maintenance.
Please enjoy a relaxing and pleasant walk while experiencing the beautiful nature that changes in each season.
