After the Omoikiri Bridge Ikkiri Bridge ruins
At the end of my thoughts, I made up my mind and crossed the bridge.
On both sides of the street from the Shianbashi tram stop, a ``Shianbashi Ruins Monument'' has been erected, which is a reproduction of part of the bridge's railing. In the past, the Tamatai River flowed near this area, and the Shian Bridge was built over it. It is said that during the red light district era, men would walk across the bridge pondering whether to go or return, hence the name Shianbashi.
From there, if you walk about 150 meters along Shianbashi Street, you will see the ``Mikaeriyanagi'' and the ``Oshikiri Bridge Ruins Stone Monument.'' They stopped at Oshikiri Bridge, which was in a place where they could see the entrance to the red-light district, Daimon (double gate), and decided to take the plunge and cross over to the red light district, hence the name Oshikiri Bridge. The fact that it is balanced with Shianbashi Bridge is very stylish.
Nowadays, the stone monument has been moved a little and a railing-shaped monument for Oshikiri Bridge is placed under the willows in the opposite direction, but the barely legible engraved character "Oshikiri" erases any hesitation and suggests that you should take the plunge to visit this bridge. You can imagine the scene of men crossing the street and feeling a sense of immorality.
