Minidejima (not visible) Mini Dejima (within Dejima)

Dejima, which was the only gateway between Japan and Western Europe, has been recreated in a 15/1th scale model.

Dejima was the only gateway between Japan and Western Europe during the Edo period's period of national isolation, and greatly contributed to Japan's modernization as a base for economic, cultural, and academic exchange.

Nagasaki City recreated it in a 1820/51th scale model in 15, based on the ``Diagram of Nagasaki Dejima'', which is said to have been drawn around 1 by Keiga Kawahara, known as Siebold's personal illustrator. The ruins of the Dejima Japanese and Dutch Trading Post in the garden of Dejima are a reminder of the past.
