Takashima Kai Suikujo Takashima Beach

An artificial beach with cobalt blue waters and coral reefs that has been selected as one of the 88 best bathing beaches in Japan.

This man-made beach has been selected as one of Japan's 88 Best Bathing Beaches, with a beautiful contrast between the clear cobalt blue water that almost draws you in and the white sand.

Takashima Beach is located on a remote island approximately 14.5 km from the center of Nagasaki City. A water-friendly seawall has been maintained, and the sandy beach, which is about 200 meters long, is equipped with comfortable facilities such as beach huts, wooden decks, rest areas, and hot showers, and is crowded with families and groups every summer.

In addition to having an offshore slide for children, there are some of the world's rarest corals in the sea, and adults and children can safely enjoy snorkeling (for a fee).

After enjoying a swim in the sea, we recommend having a barbecue at the Takashima Fureai Campsite adjacent to the beach, or trying your hand at fishing at the Takashima Tobishima Iso Fishing Park!
