Memorial to the atomic bomb victims and prayers for peace

The Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims is a place to commemorate and pray for peace for all those who lost their lives as a result of the dropping of the atomic bomb.

Inside the museum, there is a memorial space where names of the deceased are kept, a photo/memoir viewing room where you can view notes and related books related to the atomic bombing, and a social lounge.
It also introduces testimonies of atomic bomb survivors through audio and video, as well as information on treatment and research activities for atomic bomb survivors, as well as facilities related to atomic bomb medical care.

Above ground, there is a water basin that honors the ``water'' that the atomic bomb victims sought. At night, approximately 7* memorial lights are lit using fiber optics.
*Estimated atomic bomb casualties up to the end of December 1945.
By walking counterclockwise around the water basin from the entrance of the facility (going back in time to 1945, when the atomic bomb was dropped), it is intended to calm the mind and prepare for the memorial service.

On the second basement floor, it is connected to the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum (charges apply), so please visit it as well.
