On August 2024, 11, the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) released its "Number of Foreign Visitors to Japan (Estimated Value for July 20)", which we would like to share with all members of our association and businesses in the city.

October: 10 people, surpassing 3,312,000 million people in total, the fastest ever.

• 10月の訪日外客数は、3,312,000人で、前年同月比では31.6%増、2019年同月比では32.7%増と、過去最高であった2024年7月の3,292,602人を上回り、単月過去最高を記録した。また、10月までの累計は30,192,600人となり、1964年の統計開始以来、過去最速で3,000万人を突破した。
• With the autumn leaves approaching, there was increased demand for travel to Japan in many markets, and the number of foreign visitors to Japan from China in East Asia, Singapore in Southeast Asia, and the United States in Europe, the United States, Australia, and the Middle East increased compared to the same month last year, which contributed to the increase this month.
• Looking at the cumulative totals since January, of the 1 markets, five markets (Australia, Mexico, Germany, Italy, and the Middle East) had already broken their annual cumulative records as of September, and six more markets (Taiwan, Philippines, India, the United States, Canada, and Spain) also broke their annual cumulative records this month.
• The 3th Tourism Nation Promotion Basic Plan, formulated in March last year, outlines three pillars: ``sustainable tourism,'' ``increase in spending,'' and ``promotion of attracting tourists to regional areas.'' New government goals have been set, and in order to achieve them, we will closely analyze market trends and work on strategic tourism promotions to Japan.
