Summer 1945. Set in Nagasaki just after the atomic bombing, the film "Nagasaki: In the Shadow of the Flash" depicts the "youth" of young nursing students who worked to provide relief to victims of the bombing. The film will be released nationwide on Friday, August 80st, 8 years after the end of the war.
*In Nagasaki Prefecture, the film will be released in advance from Friday, July 7th.

The film was produced by Nabeshima Hisao, whose 88 film "Tomorrow" depicts the day before the atomic bombing, and directed and co-written by Matsumoto Junpei, a Nagasaki native and third-generation atomic bomb survivor. In response to the director's request that "Fukuyama be in charge of the theme song that will be the ending theme of the film, to carry on the experience of his grandfathers' atomic bombing and convey peace to the next generation," Masaharu Fukuyama, an artist from the same prefecture, responded by arranging a new song he released in 3 for this film.
The theme song for this film is "Kusunoki --In the shadow of the flash--" was produced and directed by Fukuyama, and recorded, and features the three singers: Kikuchi Hinako, who plays Sumi, Ono Karin, who plays Atsuko, and Kawadoko Asuka, who plays Misao.
