Nagasakiken Bijutsukan Nagasaki Prefectural Museum of Art

Designed by architect Kengo Kuma. The view of Nagasaki from the rooftop garden is also exceptional.

A story that lives in this place

It is said that before the war, there was a group of warehouses that hid the construction of the battleship Musashi, but now the area has completely changed and is now occupied by Mizube no Mori Park and the Nagasaki Prefectural Museum of Art, which are sandwiched between the sea and greenery.

Outline
An art museum built on the bayside with the concept of a "breathing museum." The rooftop garden is a fusion of modern design and relaxation, and is recommended for use in a wide range of situations. The seascape of Nagasaki Port and World Heritage Sites that can be seen from a slightly elevated point take on a variety of expressions depending on the time of day. It also serves as a special viewing spot during fireworks events.
