We would like to inform you that we have received the following administrative communication from the Japan Tourism Agency.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your continued understanding and consideration of our efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. Regarding the new coronavirus infection, the number of new infections continues to reach the highest infection level ever nationwide, and the rapid spread of infection continues in all prefectures, far exceeding the previous infection spread. I am. It is suggested that the Omicron strain BA.5, which is currently mainstream and has been replaced, is likely to increase the number of infected people, and there are concerns about immune escape, which could be a factor in increasing the number of infected people. The number of new infections is expected to continue to increase, or at least level out, in many regions, and nationwide it is predicted to reach record highs in the future. We need to monitor this with the utmost caution.
Under these circumstances, on July 29, this year, the Novel Coronavirus Infectious Disease Control Headquarters decided on ``measures to avoid strain on hospital beds, medical treatment/testing medical institutions,'' and ensured that measures were taken to avoid strain on medical care. It has been decided that this will be implemented.
