Please tell us your impressions of this tournament.
Mr. Raymint Yoshida
The 66th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Tropical Medicine will be held in Nagasaki from November 29th to 30th, 2025, with a total of 311 participants, including researchers, medical professionals, and students from 11 countries and diverse backgrounds.
During the conference, in addition to keynote speeches, multiple symposiums, general presentations, workshops, and student committee events, there was also a lively poster session with many presentations, leading to in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics. These diverse sessions provided valuable opportunities for participants to share their perspectives and knowledge. We believe that the historical background and tranquil atmosphere of Nagasaki further deepened the discussions and exchanges. We would like to once again express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated.

Please tell us about your main initiatives this time.
Mr. Raymint Yoshida
Based on the philosophy of "Toward Equity in Health Care," this conference strived to create an environment where diverse participants could easily interact and deepen their discussions. A multinational volunteer team, including international students from various countries and regions, participated in the event's management, providing guidance and support throughout the event. Taking advantage of the unique features of Nagasaki University's Sakamoto Campus, we also opened the Tropical Medicine Museum, the Atomic Bomb Medical Materials Exhibition Room, and the Modern Medical Materials Exhibition Room, providing participants with an opportunity to experience Nagasaki's academic and historical background. At the reception, the Nagasaki University Dragon Dance Club performed a dragon dance, providing an opportunity to deepen interactions while enjoying local culture. We believe these efforts not only contributed to the conference's research presentations, but also fostered warm person-to-person exchanges.

Please give a message to those who are planning to invite or hold a conference in Nagasaki in the future.
Mr. Raymint Yoshida
Nagasaki offers an ideal environment for hosting an academic conference, with researchers from Japan and abroad gathering to engage in lively discussions from a variety of perspectives. The Nagasaki International Tourism and Convention Association provided extensive support in preparation and running the conference, enabling it to proceed smoothly. Nagasaki is also attractive as a venue for international academic exchange, and we hope that many organizers will consider holding their conferences in Nagasaki.
