The 75th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Hospital Association was held at Dejima Messe Nagasaki for two days on July 24th and 25th, 2025. This was the first time that the 75th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Hospital Association was held in Nagasaki Prefecture.
More than 1,800 people from a wide range of professions, including doctors, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language-hearing therapists, registered dietitians, pharmacists, and administrative staff, participated from all over the country.
　The conference featured a wide-ranging program including special lectures and symposiums, interprofessional sessions, and nursing seminars, and over 500 general presentations were given, leading to lively discussions.
　In addition, nearly 90 companies supported the event, holding luncheon seminars and corporate exhibitions, and participants gave an overwhelming response, praising the event for its rich content.

　Aiming for 2025, when all baby boomers will be 75 years old or older, the proposition of realizing a regional medical vision and building a regional comprehensive care system is underway. In preparation for the subsequent era of population decline and an extremely aging and low birthrate in 2040 (when the national population 65 years old and older will peak), discussions have begun on building a more in-depth, regional medical and nursing care delivery system. Hospital medical care faces tough headwinds, including work style reforms for doctors, a decline in medical and nursing care workers, and plans to rationalize medical costs. Hospital medical care must make further leaps forward while improving the working environment, including through medical digital transformation. 2025 marks a major turning point, and with the desire to further deepen and advance, we have adopted "Soaring" as our watchword, and the main theme is "Post-2025 - The Role of Hospital Medical Care in Supporting Community Life - A Message from Nagasaki, the Birthplace of Western Medicine."

　The venue, Dejima Messe Nagasaki, is directly connected to Nagasaki Station, so many participants and exhibitors commented that it was very easy to access.The venue was well-equipped with facilities and traffic flow was designed to avoid overcrowding, which provided a great sense of security for many people to attend.
