The Instrumentation and Analysis Center Council General Meeting and Symposium is held annually by an organization centered around national universities across the country, and this year marks its 29th meeting.
Nagasaki Prefecture, where the event will be held, is home to many fascinating cultural resources, and many people have expressed their expectations for this year's event. Although access has improved with the opening of the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen, transportation is still not always convenient. Therefore, to allow participants ample time to arrive, we have decided to hold the event over two nights and three days, with the assumption that participants will arrive the day before, and have expanded the content by adding a poster session.
　Although there were concerns that the barriers to participation would be high, the speakers, including representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and university presidents, and the attendees, about 2% more than usual, enthusiastically participated from morning to night. There was fruitful discussion and information exchange regarding Japan's research infrastructure, making it a very meaningful symposium.
　The social gathering was also attended by more participants than usual, and the venue was filled with excitement thanks to the unique ingredients and cuisine of Nagasaki, as well as a mask-changing performance. As the day before the symposium was the last day of the Nagasaki Kunchi festival, many participants were able to experience Nagasaki culture, and we believe that the symposium lived up to expectations and will remain in their memories as a memorable event.
I myself was able to once again experience the richness and charm of the culture of Nagasaki.

 Deciding on the date and venue, establishing the executive committee, requesting speakers and arranging accommodation, formulating and announcing the program, arranging lunch boxes, collecting advance fees, setting up the venue, reception, web distribution, arranging posters and symposiums, arranging the social gathering, etc.

I think Nagasaki has many charms that are hard to notice if you live within the prefecture. Why not take the opinions of people from outside the prefecture into consideration?
