The National City Audit Committee is composed of audit committee members from cities across the country and was established in 27 with the aim of promoting close communication among audit committee members and ensuring the smooth operation and healthy development of the audit committee system.
　The role of the Association is to provide member cities with timely and accurate information on audits in order to resolve issues such as a lack of knowledge and practical experience in the audit work of cities across the country. The main contents of this are as follows:

・Holding practical training sessions incorporating case studies and distributing training videos
・Introduction of audit cases (audit results) such as citizen audit requests and financial and administrative audits in each city
・Providing audit standards and audit procedures (audit practice guidelines)
・Introduction of training content and instructors being conducted within prefectures, etc.
・Providing a forum for information exchange and collaboration between member cities, etc.

　As part of the above initiatives, the General Meeting and Training Session, which has been held every year since the association was established, was held on Thursday, August 28th and Friday, August 29th at Dejima Messe Nagasaki in Nagasaki City, with approximately 1,200 people in attendance.
　The content of the General Assembly and Training Sessions is divided into three main areas: "Agenda" such as budgets and financial statements, "Training Sessions," and "Interactions between Member Cities," which serves as a forum for exchanging information and building networks between cities.
　On the first day of the training session, breakout training sessions were held at three venues.
The training themes at each venue were "Internal control and practical issues in audits," "Practical issues in citizen audit requests," and "Practical issues in audits of financially supported organizations," and attendees attended the venue based on the topic they wanted to learn about.
　In addition, on the second day, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications will hold a "general training" session, and at the end of the training, each city will explain their views on the questions they had submitted in advance.
　Also on the second day, an "Inter-City Networking" was held for the Audit Committee and Secretariat staff to exchange opinions and build networks. The Audit Committee gathered in five venues based on city size, while Secretariat staff gathered in one venue, standing room only, and participants were able to freely exchange opinions and build future networks.
　
　This time, the venue was Dejima Messe Nagasaki, which was conveniently located in front of JR Nagasaki Station, and there were also many accommodations and restaurants nearby, which was well received by participants.
