The day before the debate14On the 13th, the Japan Society of Coordination Chemistry hosted a public lecture entitled "What is Sakutai? Where is it useful?" in collaboration with Nagasaki University and the Nagasaki Prefectural Science and Chemical Education Council.2025It seems that some junior and senior high school students were unable to attend this public lecture due to the overlap with the opening ceremony of the64(including junior high school students and their guardians)28Name, General public (including high school students)14After the lectures, the speakers held a book signing and sales session for their book "Science of Everything, Science of Everything: A Quick Guide to Complexes," which was published last year, and it was so well received that people lined up after the event.
In addition, a luncheon seminar entitled "The Appeal of Research Careers" was held by the Diversity Promotion Committee of the Japanese Society of Coordination Chemistry. -Company Edition-"1The event will be held on the afternoon of the 1st day, and will include the "Coordination Chemistry Homecoming Day," an industry-academia exchange event jointly sponsored by the Young Researchers Collaboration Promotion Committee and the Industry-Academia Collaboration Promotion Committee.2These events are primarily aimed at student members of the Society of Coordination Chemistry, but the society is also working on various initiatives to encourage students to remain full members of the Society even after they start working.

The first time that the Japan Society of Coordination Chemistry Symposium was held in Nagasaki was in the Showa period.57Year, Heisei21Following on from last year,3It's the second time.2022Since the opening of the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen in 2010, the area around Nagasaki Station has100A year1We believe this is a great opportunity for people from all over the country to see the cityscape of Nagasaki, which has undergone a major redevelopment and has undergone a major transformation.2025The debate was held in 2014.960With 100,000 people participating, the ripple effect on the local economy was significant, and I believe that bringing the event to Nagasaki was very significant.
One of the things that had to be considered when bringing the conference to Nagasaki was the venue. Dejima Messe Nagasaki and Benex Nagasaki Brick Hall were also candidates, but we decided to hold the conference at Nagasaki University, as we felt that a venue with a large, stepped hall and multiple lecture halls was more suitable for this conference.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Nagasaki International Tourism and Convention Association for their support in hosting the tournament.
