The 2024th International Conference on Renewable Energy Research and Applications 11 (ICRERA 9) was held at Dejima Messe Nagasaki from November 13th to 13th, 2024, organized by the International Journal of Renewable Energy and Research (IJRER) and co-organized by Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science.
42 researchers and engineers from universities and companies in 743 countries participated in the conference and engaged in lively discussions on renewable energy and energy conservation. A total of 363 presentations were made at the conference. In addition, 34 companies sponsored the conference and set up 29 exhibition booths.

In addition to the general paper presentations, there was a large-scale sponsor exhibition, two days of tutorials, keynote speeches, and more, making this a much larger-scale event than the previous 2 conferences. Although the preparations were extremely busy, we are very pleased that the conference was a success.

We received support from the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Industry Applications Society, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE Power Electronics Society Japan Joint Chapter, IEEE Power Electronics Society Fukuoka Chapter, Taiwan Power Electronics Association (TaiPEA), Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan, and Nagasaki University, and called for paper submissions from related parties. We also made efforts to attract sponsors, and received support from many companies.
Furthermore, to enrich the tutorials and keynotes, we invited lectures from renowned professors and business people active in related fields. A stand-up event was held in the exhibition hall to promote interaction between participating students and sponsoring companies. We also invited high school students in Nagasaki to experience an international conference to get an idea of what research activities are like at a university.
