Mr. Takashi Kudo
The 33rd General Meeting and Academic Conference of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Cardiology was held for two days.
The Japanese Society of Nuclear Cardiology is the only academic society in Japan specializing in nuclear medicine (medical treatment using radioactive isotopes) in the cardiovascular field, and holds a conference in various parts of Japan in June or July every year. Masu. This was the first time for our society to hold a conference in Nagasaki.
Last year was a hybrid event due to the novel coronavirus, but this year's Nagasaki tournament will be held completely on-site for the first time in a while. We expected great hardships as we were running a very small classroom and our first national tournament, but we received support from many people, including the staff at Dejima Messe. We were able to hold the event successfully.
There are currently many economic difficulties in the medical world, and we were forced to significantly reduce the budget for this conference. As part of this, we decided to hold most of the preliminary meetings online with the convention company in Tokyo, the organizers in Nagasaki, and Dejima Messe, but they responded very appropriately and we only had one on-site meeting. , we were able to conduct smooth operations. At the last minute, one of the lectures was turned into a web lecture from a remote location, but this was handled smoothly, and there were no communication problems at all due to the good internet environment. The conference was held in a new and bright facility, making it far more fulfilling than you would expect from a local city, and we received praise from everyone who attended, saying that it was a great conference. . Although this conference was a small conference with just over 200 people, we felt that the environment was set up to be sufficient for hosting larger conferences in the future.
