There are subsidies and support programs that help when holding various conventions, such as meetings, competitions, and workshops.
We provide comprehensive support from planning through the day of the event.


[Notice regarding the end of application period for subsidies]
Applications for the FY2024Nagasaki Convention Hosting Subsidy will close on June 18,
Please note that we may accept additional applications depending on the status of implementation of projects that have already been applied for, so please feel free to contact us at any time.


As of August 20, we have resumed accepting applications for the FY2024Nagasaki Convention Hosting Subsidy.

Convention Subsidy Program (FY2024)

【As of April 1, 2024】

This program is for organizers holding a convention in Nagasaki City. It supports holding an event by providing a subsidy that falls within the budget range.
Please note the subsidy may not be provided if the amount exceeds the budget limit. In addition, the program may be subject to future revision.



■ Subsidy eligibility
 All events to which the following apply are eligible
(1) An event held within Nagasaki City
(2) An event in which the scope of participants is equal to or larger than Kyushu conventions
(3) An event in which organizations such as various associations, groups, and societies are the organizer  

However, an event to which any of the following apply is ineligible for the subsidy.

(1)
An event held for profit
(2) An event held for political or religious activities

(3) An event receiving another subsidy from the national government or a local public body, or support similar to the subsidy
(4) A sports convention tournament or overnight sports training camp

■ Subsidy amount
The subsidy will either be the base amount shown in the following chart calculated according to the total number of overnight guests (the total amount of (A) and (B)), or
the total operating expense for the convention, whichever is lowest.

Subsidy for projects attracting large Nagasaki Stadium City events

This program is for organizers of events held in the Nagasaki Stadium City Happiness Arena. It supports projects that attract large Nagasaki Stadium City events by providing a subsidy that falls within the budget range. Please note the subsidy may not be provided if the amount exceeds the budget limit. In addition, the program may be subject to future revision.

■ Subsidy eligibility
All events to which the following apply are eligible
(1) An event held in the Nagasaki Stadium City Happiness Arena
(2) An event aiming to attract participants from within the city and outside the prefecture
(3) An event that implements PR attracting participants to sightseeing spots, restaurants, etc. in the city
(4) An event backed by or receiving cooperation from Nagasaki City

However, an event to which any of the following apply is ineligible for the subsidy.
(1) An event receiving a subsidy, etc. from a different program provided by the national government or a local public body
(2) An event held for religious, political, or election activities
(3) An event similar to an event held in Nagasaki City in the previous fiscal year
(excluding those exceeding the scope of events held the previous fiscal year in Nagasaki Brick Hall)
(4) An event organized or co-organized by the Japanet Group, the national government, or a local public body
(5) An event organized or participated in by an organized crime group or other group related to antisocial forces


■ Subsidy amount
The subsidy will either be the base amount shown in the following chart calculated according to the total number of event participants or*an amount equivalent to one half of the total expenses eligible for the subsidy in the preceding article, whichever is lowest. However, should the applicable event extend over 2 or more days, the number of event participants will be applied to the base amount according to the number of participants on each day, and the* expenses eligible for the subsidy in the preceding article will be an amount calculated by dividing the total expenses eligible for the subsidy for the applicable event spanning 2 or more days by the number of days it is held.

(2) Decoration fee (excluding purchase of items such as equipment, important fixtures, etc.)
(3) Advertising fee
(4) Remuneration and honorariums

・The Nagasaki Map (Japanese and English versions), Nagasaki Food and Souvenir Information Book, and convention bags are provided.

*Please send your application by email or fax at least one week before the desired delivery date.

Support for holding conventions 【Furnished items】

We can lend Japanese “happi” coats, cloth, a “tairyo-bata” (fishermen’s banner), and a standing banner.
