The charm of Wakimisaki changes depending on the time of day

I've only been here for a year, but locals check the low tide times and go to see the beach rocks. It's really beautiful when combined with the sunset. The starry sky is also beautiful.

The beach we arrived at was at the southern tip of Nagasaki.

Drive southwest from the center of Nagasaki city and reach the edge of the beach, where you will find Wakimisaki Beach. This beach is located at the southernmost tip of Nagasaki Prefecture, and its 2-kilometer-long white sand and gentle waves are sure to free your body and mind. It is also a popular spot for locals to go for walks and play in the sand. There is a cafe called Antipasto that serves smoothies, coffee, and noodle soup, and takeout is also available. The terrace that opens up to the sea is also recommended. Another highlight is the beach rock (a prefectural natural monument) to the east of the beach that is exposed at low tide.

1. Despite its beauty, the wide beach is rarely crowded even during swimming season.

2. Outside of the summer swimming season, there are few people and time passes slowly.

3. We recommend visiting the west-facing beach at sunset.

4. The contrast between the blue ocean and the smoothie is beautiful

5. "Antipast" offers both food and drinks to warm up your body after a dip in the ocean or cool down your hot body.

6. You can see the overlapping islands during the day, and the sun setting behind the islands in the evening.
