Morning market restaurant HAGAMERU

Straight from the fishing port right in front of you (as much as it is)!

Nomo Town is located at the tip of the Nagasaki Peninsula, which is blessed with rich fishing grounds.
``Morning Market Shokudo HAGAMERU'' is a popular restaurant that is located right next to ``Nomozaki Morning Market'', which has the motto ``Freshness in the morning'' and sells local ingredients, and is visited by many people from outside the prefecture.

Their signature menu is ``Nomodon,'' a seafood bowl with plenty of seafood and a wide variety of seafood that will not disappoint. A very satisfying dish that comes with simmered pork belly and a side menu that changes daily. You can also grill oysters, so if the season is right, be sure to try that too.

Enjoy the smell of the ocean! Great location right in front of the fishing port

The store is right in front of the fishing port, so you can feel the smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves, making it the perfect space for a fishing town. The exterior and interior of the restaurant are decorated with fishing gear and ship rudders, giving you the feeling of being inside a fishing boat. They provide fresh seafood as expected.

Gunkanjima landing cruise (Nonokushi fishing port)

Land on the island that supported Japan's modernization and experience the history that continues today

Hashima was registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 2015 as one of the constituent assets of the "Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution." The island, surrounded by a quay, is lined with high-rise reinforced concrete apartment buildings, and because its silhouette resembles the warship Tosa, it came to be called ``Gunkanjima.''
It closed in 1974 and became an uninhabited island, and now landing tours are conducted by boat from the Nagasaki mainland. Ships operating from the port of Nomozaki, which is located so close that Gunkanjima can be clearly seen with the naked eye, are characterized by the short time it takes to land, about 10 minutes at the shortest.

Valuable coal mining equipment and buildings that convey the life of those days

Once you step ashore from the pier, you'll be in a completely different world. Although the mining facilities from that time have deteriorated over the years and have been exposed to the elements, they still retain some traces of those days.
Only the supports of the large conveyor belt used to load coal onto transport ships remain, and when you look up the mountain you will see company housing for executives. Even through the exposed concrete walls, you can feel the many years of history and human activity.
Also, when you look at the stairs that lead up and down the pier that was built to enter the mine shaft, you can imagine the anxiety felt by the people heading out to work in the harsh coal mines.

There is also a large public bath that supports coal miners.

A large communal bath for coal miners located in a building adjacent to a brick material warehouse. Apparently, the roughly washed bathtub where the dirt was first removed was always pitch black.

The seven-story apartment building was truly cutting edge at the time.

Apartment No. 7 is said to be Japan's oldest seven-story reinforced concrete building, and Apartment No. 30, which is housing for miners, is located in the back. There was a post office on the first floor and a store in the basement.
It is said that the island was not only filled with schools, hospitals, and shops, but also had entertainment facilities such as movie theaters and pachinko halls.
The island is now completely silent, with only the gentle sounds of waves and wind.

The ``Nagasaki Burger,'' which uses fried surimi, which has long been a local delicacy in Nagasaki, a fishing town that boasts one of the largest catches in Japan, is a local burger highly recommended by our staff. Enjoy with fries and a drink set.

Pasta and Turkish rice too! Lunch is also recommended.

In addition to authentic pastas such as Genovese, Pescatore, and Amatriciana, we also have several types of Nagasaki's local gourmet Turkish rice, each of which can be made into soup and drink sets.
