It blends into every corner of Nagasaki and has become a part of the city.
Many historical and cultural stories.
We have turned these stories into activities that you can experience while walking around town.
"Nagasaki Stories"
With the narrator as your guide, it's like turning the pages.
Let's take a walking journey through the story of Nagasaki.

Start your experience from the tram “Ishibashi tram stop”! !

A guide holding a Nagasaki Stories flip was waiting for us at the meeting point, Ishibashi Tram Stop.

Now, it's time to start the experience! !

Today's guide is Mr. Mizota from Saruku Guide!

Thank you for your help today!

There is a diagonal elevator "Glover Sky Road" which is rare in the whole country!

"Glover Sky Road", located 1 minute walk from "Ishibashi Tram", is a diagonal elevator used as a means of transportation on slopes, and is a unique vehicle in Nagasaki!
*If you take the diagonal elevator and the vertical elevator all the way to the end, you can enter Glover Garden from the highest point (gate 2).

Then, after passing Glover Sky Road and passing through a narrow cobblestone path...
The long-awaited "Prayer Triangle Zone" is now in sight! !

Finally, let's go to the "Prayer Triangle Zone"! !

Here, ``Shinto'' (Oura Suwa Shrine), ``Christianity'' (Oura Cathedral), and ``Buddhism'' (Myokoji Temple) coexist harmoniously.
I received divine power in a mysterious place that was like a crossroads of religions!

After receiving divine power, head to the first world cultural heritage and national treasure, Oura Cathedral. Gothic style chalk cathedral. Enchanted by the beauty of stained glass...

``Trajectory of the discovery of believers'' Here, there is a drama of the hardships that Hidden Christians endured until they gained ``freedom of religion.''

Oura Cathedral is a church dedicated to the 26 martyrs who suffered severe Christian oppression and became saints.
That's why it was built facing towards Nishizaka Park, where the monument is located.

After Oura Cathedral was built, there was an incident in which Christians made a confession of faith while severe oppression was still continuing.

The final point of this story. Head to Glover Garden, the second world heritage site.

The last stop on the course is Glover Garden, famous for the former Glover House, a ``Site of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution''.
While looking at a Western-style building that has been designated as a nationally designated important cultural property, we will trace the vestiges of the settlement era.
The weather was nice that day, and the view of Nagasaki Port from the former Mitsubishi No. 2 Dock House was spectacular.

"Agave" that is rarely seen

It seems that this plant takes several decades to bloom, and in July 2021 it bloomed for the first time since Glover Garden opened.
When will I see you next?

The experience ends when you take a commemorative photo (*charges apply for color photos) in front of the Glover mansion using the ticket you received at the entrance reception.
The two-hour course went by in a blink of an eye, but the "town walk" while getting a feel for the history of Nagasaki and the lives of the people who live in this area was truly worth it.The world is right next to your lifeEnglish learning is necessary to prepare for life, learning and interaction with the global environment.
IT Skills (programming logic) is necessary to prepare for the needs of the future.
Financial literacy is necessary to prepare for creating, managing and being smart with time and wealth.
