Opening in January 2024 “Nagasaki Marriott Hotel” accommodation experience report-1

“Nagasaki Marriott Hotel” opened on January 2024, 16.
This is the first Marriott hotel to enter Kyushu.
JR Nagasaki StationIt is located on the upper floor of Amu Plaza Nagasaki (new wing), a commercial facility that just opened in November 2023.
It is conveniently located, taking 20 hour and 60 minutes from Hakata on the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen and about XNUMX minutes by limousine bus from Nagasaki Airport, and is the latest recommended spot with hotels, shopping, and gourmet food.

In this edition of "The Editorial Department Goes!", two members of the editorial department will share their experiences staying at the Nagasaki Marriott Hotel!



 

↓ Immediately enter the building from the main entrance on the 1st floor. There are two entrances: in front of the east exit of Nagasaki Station and from the driveway on the south side.
- "It smells so good!" As soon as I stepped inside, I was surrounded by a soft and wonderful scent.
 


↓ The interior of the elevator has a chic and calm design. If you look closely, you can see a pattern of Nagasaki grouper (kite) on the front wall.
It seems that as you go to the upper floor, you can imagine the grouper going up into the sky!


 


↓ Arrive at the lobby on the 7th floor. The concierge and front counter are on the left, and the sofa lounge is on the right.
The interior design and art in the open lobby space gave us a sense of Nagasaki.

And from the large window facing the lounge, you can seeMt. InasaI can see it!
 

↓ There was also a currency exchange machine next to the check-in desk. This is a very convenient service for guests from overseas.

↓ After checking in, we finally headed to the room on the 10th floor where we would be staying today.
The elevator hall and the hallway in front of the guest rooms are spacious and have a very luxurious atmosphere.

 

↓ The room we stayed in was the "Premium 2 Double Balcony" room. This room has a terrace facing Mt. Inasa.
With Nagasaki Port on your left, Mt. Inasa in front, and the station building directly below, you can enjoy the best view.

The room is a calm space with a blue theme that gives you the feeling of the sea, typical of the port city of Nagasaki.
The space around the bed is spacious, allowing you to relax.

For dinner, we decided to go out into town.
 

- “Now, what shall we eat?”
- “Would you like to take the tram to Shianbashi/Doza?”
 

It takes only 10 minutes by tram from Nagasaki Station to Shianbashi in the downtown area.
Compact City Nagasaki is also unique in that it is easy to move around.

Breakfast the next morning is at the private dining room "Harbella".
The room is flooded with morning light, and the terrace outside offers a spectacular view of Nagasaki Port.

 

Meals are buffet style with main dishes (choose from 3 types) and Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes using plenty of Nagasaki ingredients.
We each ordered "Eggs Benedict" and "Castella French Toast".

The main dishes also incorporate Nagasaki characteristics, so you'll be spoiled for choice.
I was very satisfied with the comfortable space and delicious food!


 


↓"Grab&Go" in the lobby sells delicious-looking cakes and chocolates made with local seasonal fruits.
