``Actually delicious'' menus from famous restaurants, 1 day eating plan
Ask a glutton about delicious food. As these words indicate, the local magazine editors who run around day and night in search of Nagasaki's ``hottest news'' are all knowledgeable when it comes to gourmet information. It's extremely reliable. So, here, with the theme of ``This menu from a famous restaurant is actually delicious,'' we will introduce the signature menu of a famous restaurant as well as ``This menu is actually delicious too!'' As you all know, Gourmet Town Nagasaki is full of delicious food. It's up to you what to eat in your limited time! The classic gourmet food is great, but it's also fun to order something hidden on the menu. How about a gourmet tour proposed by a local gourmet editor that allows you to enjoy all the food in one day?
A little snack before lunch
Chai Delica, which is famous for its grilled xiaolongbao, also recommends the "Nagasaki Seikou Koshomochi"
Chaiderika is located a 2-minute walk from Shinchi Chinatown. ``Nagasaki-yaki xiaolongbao,'' which is a Nagasaki-style take on the soul food of Shanghai residents by the owner, who is originally from China, is popular, but what I really want to recommend here is the ``Nagasaki success pepper mochi.'' The crispy and chewy puff pastry is filled with meat filling seasoned with 6 types of spices, including Japanese pepper, and you'll be addicted to it once you take a bite. The meat filling is an arrangement of Taiwanese pepper mochi using Unzen Momiji Pork, a brand from Nagasaki Prefecture, and has a punchy, exotic aroma that makes me think I'm at a Taiwanese food stall every time.

We also recommend the "Italian Hamburger Lunch" from <primrose>, which is famous for its Turkish rice.
This restaurant is famous for its Turkish rice, located along the Nakashima River, which also includes Megane Bridge, but the pasta and hamburgers are also very delicious! Among them, the "Italian hamburger lunch" is one that I am ``actually a big fan'' of because of its deliciousness every time. The hamburger steak is an attractive combination of a comforting homely taste and a slightly refined feel. When you put a knife into a grilled hamburger steak topped with cheese, the juices that come out are irresistible. The sweetness of the meat juice and the sourness of the tomato sauce have a perfect balance.garnishThe fluffy scrambled eggs and plenty of salad are also very satisfying. Great location right in front of Meganebashi!

We also recommend the ``Lemon Cake Set'' from Shouken (Cafe Seville), which is famous for its castella cakes.
While walking along the street along the tram tracks, I headed for Cafe Seville, located on the second floor of the main store of Shouken, which was founded in 1681. It goes without saying that this is a long-established Nagasaki castella store. It's located right next to the new Nagasaki City Hall building, so don't forget to stop by the 19th floor observation deck of the city hall, which is mentioned in a separate article. This shop's recent favorite item is the lemon cake set. A new menu using lemon castella dough, which has been gaining popularity since its release, will be available from May 2023! The refreshing, bittersweet flavor of candied lemon peel from Nagasaki Prefecture and the sweetness of castella are coated with lemon-flavored chocolate. It's a little different from the standard castella, but you can enjoy the taste of a long-established store, so it's a dish that makes you feel like you've earned something. It is a limited menu item at Cafe Seville, and is also available in cute boxes as souvenirs.

We also recommend the ``apple pie'' from <Baigetsudo>, which is famous for its sea cream.
Returning to Hamacho Arcade, the next place I want to visit is a long-established Japanese and Western confectionery store that has been loved for many years. By far the most famous is "Sea Cream," an original cake only available in Nagasaki topped with yellow peach and pineapple that was first made in Japan by Baigetsudo in the early Showa era. ” and “Ponmu Bikkuri Ringo.” It's one of the oldest menu items, and you'll be addicted to the crispy puff pastry and plenty of sweet apples. What is "Ponmu"? A whole apple and a generous amount of custard cream are wrapped in puff pastry, and the crispy pastry covering the whole apple goes perfectly with the candy. If you want to take it easy, head to the cafe ``Salon de Fine'' on the second floor. You can enjoy ``sea cream'' and ``apple pie.'' "Ponmu" is takeout only.

Kaniya, which is famous for its rice balls, also recommends ``Oden.''
The best way to end your day in Nagasaki is at Doza, the downtown area. Kaniya is the standard after-drinking dish. This onigiri specialty store is very popular not only with locals but also with tourists. All 33 types of rice balls are made with S-rank Koshihikari rice from Niigata Prefecture and Ariake's finest seaweed, and each one is made with care. Kaniya has a wide variety of menu items other than rice balls. Kushiyaki, ochazuke, soup, Goto udon... Among them, ``oden'' is ``actually my favorite''. There are more than 10 types of oden, including radish, fried tofu, egg, and beef tendon, and the flavor of the sweet soup stock is so strong that the flavor permeates throughout your body. I hope you enjoy the atmosphere inside the store, which is bustling with customers. Depending on the time you visit, there may be a line!

Special voices of Nagasaki citizens
When I listened to the voices of the citizens, I realized that there was so much Nagasaki that I didn't know. This year, let's go to Nagasaki that you don't know about.

Nagasaki City is famous for the delicious fish you can find anywhere you go, but it is also a hotly contested area for delicious yakitori restaurants! In particular, the area between Shianbashi and Doza is lined with a wide variety of popular izakaya bars, high-class course-only yakitori restaurants, and restaurants that pride themselves on creative skewers. It's hard to choose just one, but my favorite is the popular ``Charcoal-grilled Yakitori Suzuran.'' It's only been open for two years, but reservations are required on weekends! Each skewer is large, plump and juicy. We use Bincho charcoal and round charcoal to fine-tune the temperature and control the heating process down to the smallest detail. As someone who is from outside the prefecture, I first encountered ``white liver'' in Nagasaki. The liver is melty and topped with plenty of green onions and sesame oil, and it melts in your mouth. A masterpiece that changes the concept of "lever". When you visit here, be sure to give it a try! !

Kanzaki Shokudo, a restaurant beloved by the locals, has been a restaurant that I have been patronizing since I was a child, and my grandparents would take delivery for me, and I would go out to eat with my family. This restaurant is located on Naka-dori, one street away from Teramachi-dori, where Ryotei Ichiriki is located. Here are two recommendations from Kanzaki Shokudo. The first one is the Katsudon and Udon Set. The slightly sweet seasoned katsudon and udon soup that Nagasaki people like will permeate all five organs. The second one is Sara Udon. Both thin and thick noodles are delicious, but I prefer thick noodles. The black pepper on top does a nice job. You can enjoy it twice by starting as is and then adding sauce from the middle. The other dishes are also delicious, so I always have a hard time deciding what to order, but I think it's the katsudon and udon set! lol

4A year ago, I started working as a taxi driver and started eating out at various restaurants. Customers often ask me about Champon restaurants, and my favorite is Handmade Udon Sanukiya in Sakuramachi, near the old Nagasaki City Hall. Of course the udon is delicious, but the ``odashi'' is also delicious. What I always order is the Manpuku set. It's a large bowl of udon topped with shrimp tempura, burdock tempura, etc., and comes with rice balls, so you can eat it easily even when you're busy, so it's very satisfying. When I have time, I often go to a small coffee shop nearby called Coffee Senka Sasakizaka. The coffee brewed by the master is the best in a relaxing shop lined with coffee beans and Dutch coffee (water dripper). I think many people are attracted to the Master's personality.
