A memorable first timeEditorial department goes! Now, we will deliver the "Ikeshima Coal Mine Tour" experience Vlog.
Ikeshima Coal Mine is a coal mine that extends 7 km off the coast of northwest Nagasaki, and was closed in 2001, making it the last coal mining island in Kyushu.
Along with Hashima (Gunkanjima), a World Heritage Site, it is a famous spot known as a major coal mining island in Nagasaki Prefecture.
Currently, it is the only ``coal mining experience facility'' in Japan where a guide who is a former coal miner guides you around on a trolley.
