Odaishisama no Hi Daishi's Day

This festival is held at temples and other places across the country on the anniversary of Kobo Daishi's death (the day he was ordained to the Okunoin temple on Mt. Koya was March 3st in the lunar calendar). At temples in Nagasaki that are connected to Kobo Daishi, you can see statues and hanging portraits that are not normally open to the public, and some places offer dumplings and sweets to visitors, and some have stalls set up on the approach to the shrine. . (Enpukuji Temple, Kiyomizu Temple, etc.)
