FAQ
We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions regarding school trips.
[Q1] I am considering voluntary group training within Nagasaki City. How many hours do you need?
CV Association
There are many training destinations within easy walking distance of Nagasaki city center by tram.
Some schools schedule training for half a day, while many schools dedicate the entire day to training.
It depends on the students' interests, but we have heard that even one day wasn't enough, so we would be happy if they could revisit Nagasaki as adults.
[Q2] How should I study in advance for peace studies?
CV Association
We offer online pre-learning using Zoom or Teams for a fee. For more information, please see "Useful information in advance."
Materials can also be borrowed or downloaded from the Nagasaki City Atomic Bomb Succession Division and Peace Promotion Division. For more information, please see ``Nagasaki Peace'' below.
The Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims also dispatches family members, testimonies, and volunteers who read the stories of the atomic bomb survivors.
For more information, please see the "Dispatch Project for Atomic Bomb Experience Successors" below.
[Q3] Please tell me about the location of the peace rally, the flower offering, and the offering of XNUMX paper cranes.
CV Association
Peace rallies are usually held in front of the memorial statue in Peace Park or in front of the monument at the epicenter of the fall.
At these two locations, you are free to reserve space, offer flowers, and present a thousand paper cranes.
Advance reservations are not possible, so we will be able to accommodate you on-site on the day.
Additionally, peace gatherings may be held indoors in the memorial space of the Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, but only for a maximum of two classes at a time.
[Q4] Can I rent a wheelchair?
CV Association
At tourist facilities, they are always kept at the facility and can only be used within the facility, but for use while moving, only the Nagasaki City Social Welfare Council can handle it.
The rental fee is free, the rental period is one week, and the rental conditions are that you must pick up and return the item at the office (1-1 Kamimachi, Nagasaki City), and the rental application form submitted on the day must have a stamp.

[Q5] What will happen if the Gunkanjima landing cruise is cancelled?
CV Association
If the captain determines that safe operation is not possible due to waves exceeding 1m in height or strong winds, the cruise may be canceled.
The landing rate for Gunkanjima landing cruises is approximately 80%.
However, we do not know what the weather will be like on the day of the trip, so we recommend making alternative plans just in case.
[Q6] Please tell me about hotels in Nagasaki city.
