"DMO NAGASAKI MONTHLY REPORT" is released to inform you about the current state of tourism in Nagasaki. Based on the movement information data and search data of Yahoo Data Solution DS.INSIGHT, you can check the trends and interests of visitors to Nagasaki City.

Overview

1. Movement information data
・The number of visitors to Nagasaki City from outside the prefecture was 208,090, 158% compared to the previous month and 113% compared to the same month last year.
・By day, the 13th (Sunday) during the Obon period had the highest number of people at 14,470.
・Compared to the same month last year by block, the number increased in all blocks: Hokkaido/Tohoku 137%, Kanto 107%, Hokuriku Shinetsu/Chubu 135%, Kinki 118%, Chugoku/Shikoku 113%, Kyushu/Okinawa 113%, with an increase in all three major cities. The number increased by 3% in Tokyo, 106% in Osaka, and 115% in Fukuoka.

2. Search volume for “Nagasaki tourism”
・26,800 people, an increase of 113% compared to the previous month and 104% compared to the same month last year.
・On the other hand, compared to the same month in 2019, it was 84%, and has not returned to the pre-coronavirus level.
- Compared to the same month last year in the three major cities, Tokyo (3%) and Osaka (103%) increased, while Fukuoka (109%) decreased compared to the previous year.
