Overview

First quarter (April to June) tourism trend analysis released!
In this month's topic, we summarized trends over the three years from 4, when the number of new coronavirus infections began to increase, to 6, as a first quarter report from April to June.

■The number of visitors to Nagasaki City from outside the prefecture in June was 6% compared to the previous year. A significant increase was seen mainly in the Kinki and Kanto regions.

・The number of visitors from outside the prefecture in June 2022 was 6, an increase of 103,110% from the previous year and 154% from the year before the previous year compared to the past two years. On the other hand, the number decreased by 189% from May (2 people) during Golden Week.

・Looking at the year-on-year comparison by region (visit origin), there was an increase in all regions, with a particularly large increase of 425% in Kinki and 283% in Kanto.

- Looking at the city's main tourist spots/areas compared to the same month last year, 171 out of 12 spots/areas saw an increase of 9% at Mt. Inasa Observatory.
