Overview

The number of visitors in April increased by 4% compared to the previous year, and during Golden Week, the number of visitors increased by 25% compared to the previous year, so the bustle is returning.

・The number of visitors from outside the prefecture in April 2022 increased by 4% compared to the same month last year and by 25% compared to the year before. Additionally, there was no state of emergency declared for the first time in three years, and the weather was good, so this year's Golden Week was 99% more crowded than the previous year.

・The number of visitors increased in all regions compared to the same month last year, but particularly strong growth was seen in the Kanto region, with a 97% increase, Hokuetsu-Shin-Etsu/Chubu with a 91% increase, and Kinki with a 70% increase.

・Among the main tourist spots and areas in the city, Glover Garden, the Dejima area, the Hamamachi area, Mt. Inasa, the area around the west exit of Nagasaki Station, Iojima, Minami Nagasaki (Nomozaki), Sotome, and Kotoumi exceeded the previous year.
