April 2022 Monthly Report

Compared to the same month last year, the number of visitors from metropolitan areas such as the Kanto region has increased.

・Although the number of people infected with the new coronavirus in February 2022 will increase approximately 2 times compared to the same month last year due to the rampant Omicron strain, the number of visitors from outside the prefecture will remain at the same level as the same month last year, increasing by 50%. .

・Looking at the year-on-year comparison of visitors by region, there was a notable increase in visitors from major metropolitan areas such as Kanto, Kansai, and Chubu.

・On the other hand, there was a 48% decrease compared to last month, when there were many people returning home. Due in part to the closure of tourist facilities (January 1 to February 21) due to priority measures to prevent the spread of the virus, there was a noticeable drop in the number of visitors.
