Overview
Although the number of visitors has decreased due to the rebound after the summer vacation, there are positive signs as the effects of Nomozaki Dinosaur Park are beginning to be seen.
Judging from search behavior, there is a possibility of an increase in visitors from next month onwards.
・As usual (excluding last year due to the coronavirus pandemic), the number of visitors from outside the prefecture in September, when the return home for summer vacation has settled down, was significantly lower than in August, and in particular the number of visitors from metropolitan areas such as the Kanto region was 9% compared to last month. This was a further decrease.
・On the other hand, the impact in the Kyushu area was relatively moderate at around 20%, and the impact was smaller than in large metropolitan areas that are far away. This is a 17% decrease compared to the same month last year, but the main factors are thought to be that last year was during the GoTo travel period in areas other than Tokyo, and this year was under a state of emergency. Furthermore, visits from Tokyo increased by 29%.
・Looking at the number of visitors from within and outside the prefecture by major tourist attraction/area, the southern district of Nagasaki City (Nomozaki district) was the only one that exceeded the same month last year and last month. This is likely due to the children's plaza at Nagasaki Mozaki Dinosaur Park, which opened on September 9th, and expectations are high for its full opening on October 13th.
・Search behavior also increased by about 16% compared to last month. It is suggested that travel sentiment is revitalized due to the lifting of the state of emergency and reports of full-fledged "tourism with coronavirus" such as vaccination campaigns by private companies, and judging from past trends, the number of visitors may start to increase from October onwards. It can be said that there is a certain gender.
