Explanation of the meaning and origin of the slogan and logo
The Nagasaki City Tourism Master Brand was created by Nagasaki City to connect Nagasaki City's diverse attractions into a single story and enable citizens and businesses to talk about it with consistency.
Overview of initiatives
In FY3, Nagasaki City and DMO will focus on the "history and culture" that Nagasaki City is proud of, symbolizing universal values such as "food," "sea," and "peace," and promoting domestic, inbound, MICE, and school trips. We worked to build a ``Tourism Master Brand'' that will be used in all customer attraction promotions.
The project took approximately one year to build, including holding three meetings of the Nagasaki City Tourism Master Brand Review Committee, holding citizen workshops, and conducting needs and acceptance surveys targeting visitors, citizens, and city businesses. We have considered this for a long time.
In the future, we will use the brand we have built as a pillar to consistently carry out promotions that summarize Nagasaki's charms and stimulate people's desire to visit.
Purpose of construction
①To make Nagasaki City the first thing that comes to mind.
② To improve consistency.
③To share the will of all Nagasaki citizens.
Brand slogan: “Beside your daily life, look at the world.”
It represents not only the "Waka-Dutch culture" represented by its exoticism, but also the diverse "world" that is deeply rooted in our lives, and the ever-evolving new "world", with a variety of things old and new. It expresses a sense of the world and cultures that mix and blend.
symbol mark
The symbol mark consists of three designs,
・Upper row: Mountains on three sides surrounding Nagasaki Port and the cityscape on the slopes.
・Middle: A unique culture that is a fusion of Japanese, flower, and orchid, born from a special terrain where all distances are close.
・Lower row: A port that has welcomed the world
By combining these three symbols, we symbolize the future and growth with a print-like retro-modern expression using a diamond motif.
Phrase to attract tourists: "Let's meet in Nagasaki."
Our strength is that we can convey the diverse worldview in various forms while capturing the essence of Nagasaki as a city of encounters that connects countries and cultures. This phrase captures the fun and anticipation of the ``real life you can only encounter if you go'' to Nagasaki.
