April 2024, 7 (Monday) to May 1, 2024 (Wednesday)

(5) Eligibility requirements
Applicants must satisfy all of the following criteria 1 to 7.

  Item Requirements
1 Nagasaki Love Being able to talk about what you like and what is good about Nagasaki in your own way.
2 age Applicants must be between 2024 and 11 years of age as of November 1, 18.
*High school students are not eligible to apply.
3 Language Level 1. Native Japanese speakers
 Possess sufficient English language skills for everyday conversation.
② Those whose native language is not Japanese
 Applicants must have a Japanese Language Proficiency Test level N2 or above (or equivalent) and be able to carry out daily conversations in English.
4 residence Those who live, go to school or work in Nagasaki City, or frequently visit Nagasaki City for business, leisure, visiting their hometown, etc.
*People from outside the prefecture are also welcome to apply, but if the number of applications greatly exceeds the available spots, priority will be given to applicants who reside within the prefecture.
5 Intention to work You are interested in guiding foreign visitors to Japan and are willing to continue to work as a paid guide for foreign cruise passengers calling at Matsugae International Terminal in Nagasaki Port.
6 Training Ability to participate in interview selection (online).
In principle, you will be able to attend all training sessions (face-to-face).
7 Digital Literacy Ability to communicate via email, LINE, and ZOOM.

In addition, although it is not required, we recommend that you have a Google account (Gmail) as you will likely need to use Google Forms during the application and training process.

 Please attach a picture of one of the following identification documents to the form:
 ・Driver's license (both sides)
 ・Passport (page showing name, date of birth, and photo)
 ・My Number Card (front) *Please do not submit the back side which has your My Number printed on it.
 ・Health insurance card, etc., documents that can verify your identity
[Foreigners]
 Please attach images of the following identification to the form:
 ・Residence card (both sides)
[Students]
 Please attach a photo of the following ID to the form. If you cannot submit the photo, you will not be able to attend the course at the student rate.
 ・Student ID card (both sides)
