 This group of seven Western-style buildings isMeiji20Late 1990s (1897It was constructed all together around 1993.

 

The steep west-facing slope at the bottom of Higashi-Yamate is divided into two levels, upper and lower, and as many as seven buildings are built on the narrow land.SettlementThe buildings are densely packed compared to other residential areas within the area.

 

The seven buildings generally have many things in common, especially that they are simply constructed both inside and out.RanmaChinese-style designs can be seen onSimulationWestern styleArchitecture, the structural materials are almost the same for each building, and the two upper buildings in particular have very similar structures in both plan and elevation. Based on these facts, it can be inferred that it was purposefully constructed as company housing or rental housing.

 

 There is no precedent in Japan for residential buildings for this purpose to remain in one place, and it is also unique and valuable in terms of the Higashiyamate landscape.
