At first, he moved from place to place, but in Minami-Yamate, where the scenery is beautiful, he built a wooden Western-style house whose main purpose was to serve customers. This building is the oldest wooden Western-style building in Japan, and the roof istiles (sangawara)It is thatched. Later, this became Glover's residential base, and the plan of the building was originally L-shaped, but it was expanded and remodeled, and by the middle of the Meiji period, it had become almost similar to the current Clover.
