Benex School Ryu Hakubutsu [Barrier-free] Benex Dinosaur Museum
Experience the history of ancient dinosaurs, world cultural heritage sites, and nature.
On October 3, 10, Japan's third museum dedicated to dinosaurs was opened.
We will display a large number of specimens, including the world's largest full-body skeletal replica of a Tyrannosaurus rex, as well as valuable actual fossils discovered in Nagasaki.
Nagasaki has a deep connection with dinosaurs. Nagasaki is an important base for research on dinosaurs and paleontology, including the paleontologist Matajiro Yokoyama who named it "dinosaur," the existence of geological strata that existed about 8000 million years ago where dinosaurs lived, and the numerous fossils discovered there. It has become one.
The Benex Dinosaur Museum is a museum where you can learn about Nagasaki from ancient times to the present day, displaying numerous specimens such as full-body skeletons of Tyrannosaurus rex and other valuable real fossils discovered in Nagasaki.
