Omoriya [Barrier-free] Omoriya
``I want to make my favorite Nagasaki kites (groupers).'' We fulfilled this desire and opened our shop in September 22 near Meganebashi Bridge along the Nakashima River. Nagasaki kites (groupers) are said to have been introduced by Indonesians who came to Dejima as servants of the Dutch, and are a traditional craft with a long history. All kites are made by hand and are loved by many as gifts for celebrations such as birthdays, store openings, and business openings, as well as as souvenirs.
