Michinoeki Yuhiga Okasotome [Barrier-free] Roadside Station Yuhigaoka Sotome

This is the only roadside station in the city, located in the Sotome district of Nagasaki. You can park your car and enjoy the view of the Sumonada Sea below. You can see the islands floating in the sea, the churches and facilities of Shitsu Bunkamura, and on clear days the Goto Islands. Furthermore, the view of the sunset from here is said to be one of the most beautiful in Nagasaki. Recommended for stopping by and taking a break after enjoying a drive along the coastline or sightseeing in the cultural village. At the roadside station's product store, special products from the Sotome area are sold, such as vegetables, fruits, Doro-sama somen, and Kankoro mochi. The restaurant also serves dishes made with local ingredients. There is one barrier-free toilet outside (available 24 hours) and one in the passageway between the product hall and restaurant.

As you enter the parking lot, there is a restroom and rest area that is open 24 hours a day. The barrier-free restroom also has a diaper changing table.

There are two handicapped parking spaces near the building. It has a roof, so even if it rains, you can move inside the building without getting wet.

The view of the sunset over the Sumonada Sea and the East China Sea stretching out before your eyes is a spectacular sight, and the area is crowded with tourists who come for a drive. Please enjoy the wide sky and sea, and the sunset that envelops the fishing boats and islands. Wheelchair users can move smoothly from the disabled parking lot to the scenic view point as it is flat.

Transportation access	[Local bus] Take the Nagasaki bus bound for ``Itanoura Connection/Sakura no Sato Terminal'' to the last stop. From the same bus stop, transfer to the Saikai Kotsu train bound for Itanoura and get off at the Kurosaki Shisho-mae bus stop. About 5 minutes walk. [Car] About 40 minutes from Nagasaki Station.
