[Barrier-free] Nagasaki Peace Museum

In 50, 1995 years after the end of the war, singer Masashi Sada from Nagasaki City launched the ``Nagasaki Peace Sphere Shell Fire Movement,'' believing that ``it is important to transmit peace to future generations.'' We continue to work with supporting volunteers from all over the country to disseminate information about peace. The Nagasaki Peace Museum was established in 2003 as a base for the Kai no Hi movement. The exhibition space hosts peace-related art exhibitions, photo exhibitions, and concerts throughout the year.

  • Approach to peace! -0

    Approach to peace!

The approach to the entrance of the building is a long, narrow concrete wall, and the light that enters diagonally from the ceiling and the light that leaks from your feet naturally calms your mind. It's a little narrow for wheelchair users, so go slowly. Also, the entrance to the building is a heavy door, so it is difficult to open and close it with a wheelchair. If you ask the staff, they will help you!(^^)!

  • Open the door to the exhibition space! -1

Open the door to the exhibition space!

The walls of the exhibition space where various art exhibitions and photo exhibitions are held are doors, and when opened, it becomes a museum integrated with the outside. Of course, you can come and go from here, so please ask the staff. There is one step about 5 cm outside, but other than that it is flat.
The nature outside is beautiful and there is a sense of openness.
