Kairakakuen [Barrier-free] Kai-Rakuen

Kai-en Garden is located on the left side as you enter the north gate of Chinatown, close to the Hamacho Arcade side of Nagasaki City. For over 1 years since its establishment, it has been loved not only by locals but also by tourists and many gourmets. As it is a long-established store, the staff are very experienced and can accommodate written communication and people in wheelchairs. There is a slight step at the store entrance, but the inside of the store is flat, and the restaurant on the 3st floor has all chair seating, so even those in wheelchairs can enjoy a leisurely meal. There are private rooms from the XNUMXrd floor up, as well as private rooms with chairs, so many people use this restaurant for family meals. The toilet is Western-style, but wheelchair access is not possible. We recommend that you use the restroom at a nearby hotel.

The restaurant on the 1st floor is a spacious space where you can casually enjoy set meals, Champon, Sara Udon, and other meals. There is plenty of space between the tables, making it easy for wheelchair users to enter and exit. There is a 6 to 7 cm step at the entrance to the store, but otherwise it is flat and you can receive assistance from the store staff.
For family dinners, choose a private room on the upper floor.

If you want to have a meal with your family or friends, you can take the elevator to the upper floor, and from there you can use the chairs in the private rooms, as the restaurant staff will help you navigate the slight steps. Meals are course meals only. Reservations are required for private rooms.

Kai-Rakuen is located at the corner of Chinatown North Gate. Chinatown is also the main venue for the Lantern Festival held every February. It's fun to walk along the streets and look for monuments with designs inspired by Chinese feng shui. The shops in Kai-Rakuen are decorated with auspicious decorations unique to China, which are not just decorations. Chinatown, surrounded by auspicious things, may be called a power spot in Nagasaki.
