Nagasaki Kenritsu Sogoutai Ikukan [Barrier-free] Nagasaki Prefectural General Gymnasium

　

It has a main arena, sub-arena, and martial arts hall, and is one of the top gymnasiums in Kyushu in terms of total stadium area and facilities.
It is a multipurpose facility that can be used not only as a place for everyday sports to participate in, but also as a place for spectator sports where you can watch competitions by top athletes, as well as for various events and conventions. We also disseminate training methods to maintain and improve health and physical strength and improve competitiveness, and provide consultation and information services regarding various sports.
The facility also has a restaurant, shop, infant nursery and nursing room (free), climbing wall (free), and training room (charges apply). Elevators are available to access the main arena bleachers. There are four barrier-free restrooms within the building, as well as shower rooms for people with disabilities. Persons with disabilities can use the training room free of charge, including one caregiver.

Barrier-free facility information

You can access the entrances on the 1st and 2nd floors from the handicapped parking lot in front of the main entrance, but you will need to use a long slope to get to the 2nd floor entrance, so we recommend entering from the 1st floor entrance.
Use of the training room is free for those with a disability certificate, including one caregiver. An instructor is always on hand, so you can use it with confidence.

Recommended points for researchers

There is a wheelchair-only viewing corner on the 2nd floor of the main arena!

Elevators are available to take you to the 2nd floor bleachers in the main arena, allowing for smooth movement. In addition, there is a passageway that allows wheelchair users to go around the viewing seats, and there is space for six wheelchair-only seats in front of the large screen.

Directions and Access	・Take the tram bound for Akasako from Nagasaki Station, get off at Ohashi, and walk for about 10 to 15 minutes. ・Take the bus bound for the north (toward Urakami) from JR Nagasaki Station, get off at Ohashi, and walk for about 10 to 15 minutes. From Nagasaki Station, take a train bound for Ohashi or Shimoohashi, get off at Yukicho, and walk for about 1 minute.
