Nagasaki Rekishibunka Hakubutsukan [Barrier-free] Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture
The Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture has a permanent venue where overseas exchange history materials, historical materials, art materials from before the Edo period, and local materials are exhibited, as well as a facility that has been reconstructed from the Nagasaki Magistrate's Tateyama Office. The general information center not only provides information about the museum, but also rents out wheelchairs and strollers. Information desks are located on the 1st and 2nd floors, and guides are always on hand. The building is all flat, and you can move smoothly to the permanent venue on the 2nd floor and the special venue on the 3rd floor by elevator with audio guide. The exhibits are set at a height that is easy to view, and there is a hands-on corner where you can actually touch and play, so even people in wheelchairs can enjoy the exhibits. Nursing rooms and rest rooms are located in front of the store on the 1st floor, barrier-free toilets are located on each floor, the 1st and 2nd floors are separated by gender, and the 1st floor is fully equipped with an ostomate. Inside the facility, you can dine at the long-established Western restaurant "Ginrei" and try your hand at Nagasaki tortoise shell, Nagasaki silversmithing, pottery, Nagasaki embroidery, and stained glass at the experience workshop (the content of the experience changes depending on the schedule).
