Ogawa hataten [Barrier-free] Ogawa Kite Store (Nagasaki Kite Museum)
In Nagasaki, the word "hata" refers to a kite. ``Ogawa Kite Store'' is located near the top of Mt. Kazeto and continues to make groupers, a traditional product of Nagasaki. The inside of the store is filled from ceiling to wall with groupers, and there are well over 100 of them, all in a variety of shapes, colors, and patterns. Although the store entrance has stairs, the inside of the store is flat and you can choose your own products and watch a kite-making demonstration. If you make a reservation, you can experience everything from making a grouper to actually raising the grouper you made (for a fee). However, the experience involves moving to a tatami room and requires assistance.
