Chinzetaisha Suwajinja [Barrier-free] Chinzei Taisha Suwa Shrine

Three shrines, Suwa, Morisaki, and Sumiyoshi, are enshrined here, and it is revered as a shrine for warding off evil spirits, for matchmaking, and for protecting the sea. The Autumn Festival (Nagasaki Kunchi October 10th, 7th, and 8th) is counted as one of Japan's three major festivals and is designated as a national important intangible folk cultural property. There are stairs from the shrine entrance to the worship hall, but if you are visiting by car, there is one parking lot that can accommodate large buses, and several parking lots for light and regular cars near the worship hall. The photo shows the Odoribaba (the stage for the Nagasaki Kunchi dedication dance), Nagasaka (the Kunchi viewing area), and the Daimon gate. There are usually parking lots on both sides of the Odoribaba.

There are six parking lots, ranging from a large bus parking lot to a light vehicle parking lot. The photo is of the parking lot on the top floor, and the shrine is located next to the stairs in the photo. The building with the blue roof is a multipurpose restroom.
In addition, there is Tsukimi Chaya in a corner of the adjacent Nagasaki Park, where you can enjoy coffee and meals, and there are many local fans who come here for the ohagi set. The entrance to the restaurant has a slight step and the interior is small, so we recommend a seat under the eaves where you can enjoy your meal while looking out at the garden. (Tsukimi Chaya is closed every Wednesday)
