Nagasaki Genbakushiryokan [Barrier-free] Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum

　

The Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum displays many materials that convey the reality of the damage caused by the atomic bomb and aim for a world free of nuclear weapons. The museum is fully equipped with outdoor elevators and ramps, making it easy for people in wheelchairs to view the museum. There are also plenty of additional facilities such as rental audio guides (1 yen per vehicle) and lockers that can be used free of charge. If you feel tired or unwell, you can take a rest in the rest room (where you can also breastfeed your baby). You can also take a break with drinks and snacks at the cafe corner.
You can also take a tour of the exhibition rooms for free by volunteer guides called ``Peace Guides.''

There is a slope leading to the rooftop observation deck where you can see the sky above where the atomic bomb was dropped, the epicenter of the atomic bomb's fall, and the northern part of Nagasaki City.

Convenient covered walkway to the facility!

From the parking lot, go straight through the garden and there is an outdoor elevator that takes you to the main entrance.
On days when the weather is bad or cold, it is convenient to use the covered slope that goes directly into the building, located on the left between the parking lot and the elevator.

Prices	*Admission fee: General: 200 yen, Elementary, junior high and high school students: 100 yen　 Free admission for the person with a disability certificate and one caregiver. Free for those over 60 (requires presentation of elderly welfare card (Iki-iki Card))
Transportation access	Tram: Take the tram bound for ``Akasako'' from the ``Nagasaki Ekimae'' tram stop, get off at the ``Atomic Bomb Museum'' tram stop, and walk for about 5 minutes. Route bus: Take the bus bound for Urakami from the Nagasaki Ekimae bus stop and get off at the Atomic Bomb Museum or Peace Park stop. *If you are in a wheelchair, you can get off at "Heiwa Park" and use the elevator to access the museum.
